Supporting local students

Education has been an important part of Pickering Square Dental's community involvement. Dr. Marvin Lean created a scholarship initiative to recognize local students continuing to post-secondary education.

Supporting local students

Supported since 2000

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School

Pine Ridge Secondary School

The historical awards recognized student improvement and progression to post-secondary study.

Scholarship history

Supporting local students identify St. Mary Catholic Secondary School and Pine Ridge Secondary School as schools supported through the initiative since 2000.

The program's availability can change from one school year to the next. Students, families, and educators should confirm the current scholarship name, participating school, eligibility, selection process, deadline, and award details with the appropriate school or the dental office.

Information for students and schools

If a current scholarship cycle is open, the school or dental office can explain who may be considered, whether a student must be nominated, what deadline applies, how decisions are made, and where approved information should be submitted. Contacting the office is a way to ask for current details; it is not an application or a guarantee that an award is available.

Students should not send transcripts, identification, financial information, or other sensitive records through the general website contact form. Follow only the submission process confirmed for the current school year.

The initiative reflects a belief that progress, persistence, and education deserve recognition. Its history also complements the practice's oral-health education and support for youth activities and community organizations across Pickering.

Part of a broader community commitment

The scholarship history sits alongside the practice's support for local education, youth activities, and community organizations.

Community service

Schools and community partners can contact Pickering Square Dental or call (905) 420-1777 to confirm whether a current scholarship cycle is open.
