DR. MARVIN LEAN
Dr. Marvin Lean graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1985. Postgraduate studies took him to Manhattan where he interned at the Beth Israel Medical Centre in Hospital Primary Trauma and at the Aids and Methadone Research Centre. Dr. Lean is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Dental Associations and proud partner Dentist of Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. He is a regular lecturer on preventive dentistry & oral hygiene at the Montessori and Durham Region Public Community Schools. He has also lectured in the Toronto School of Business Dental Assisting program. Since 1985 he has held a Professional Affiliation with the Alpha Omega Fraternity. He has served as an Expert Dental Consultant in Health Discipline Law at Tremayne-Lloyd Partners LLC. Dr. Lean was awarded with an Ontario 25 year Community Service award. Dr. Lean is very active in his local community sponsoring many different sports teams, cultural and related programmes, supporting local hospitals and initiating and maintaining local high school scholarship programmes. For more than twenty years Dr. Lean has served on various executive committees and is currently the chair of the Alumni Committee at the Bialik School from which he graduated. Dr. Lean is married and lives with his wife and children in Toronto. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lean is an avid basketball and hockey fan as well as a car
enthusiast.

DR. IRIT SHOVAL
Dr. Irit Shoval obtained her B.Sc. degree in Human Biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. Following dental school, she completed a one-year dental internship at Mount Sinai Hospital. She then obtained her Masters in Periodontology from the University of Toronto. Dr. Shoval has a fellowship from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is a clinical instructor in the undergraduate department of dentistry at the University of Toronto and is involved in the interview committee for admission to the university’s Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. David Lee
We are happy to welcome Dr. David Lee to Pickering Square Dental. Dr. Lee graduated from the University of western Ontario, Schulich Dentistry, in 2017. Dr. Lee also has a BScN (Hons.) from Ryerson University. Prior to starting dentistry, Dr. Lee was a pediatric Registered Nurse who worked in Sick Kids Hospital. Through his experience as an RN, he understood the importance of having the quality of presence and caring that accepts people as they are and fosters healing and wholeness, especially with children. He has continued to pursue his interests in preventative care and treatments related to oral health. Dr. Lee is committed to family centered care and treatment. As a dentist, he has a strong desire to educate his patients and provide essential knowledge to help elicit the most positive outcomes with respect to their oral health.
Dr. Lee is an active member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Association, the Canadian Dental Association the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Lee is also a member of Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario and the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Dr. Lee loves taking road trips with his wife and infant daughter. In his spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys playing piano, learning about art, cooking, and golfing. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lee, he will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
